FAQ & technical notes

MR (moisture-resistant) plasterboard handles incidental humidity well and is suitable behind cabinets and splashbacks. Cementitious backer board is recommended for direct tile and shower zones where continuous wetting may occur.

Yes — for systems we install using manufacturer-approved membranes we provide documentation and installation notes allowing tile contractors and certifiers to cross-check compliance with NZBC requirements.

Drying times depend on the membrane used — some liquid membranes cure in 24 hours, others require longer. We follow manufacturer guidance and coordinate handover with tilers to ensure correct adhesion.
